The Week Audit

Find out how much of your week does not need you.

Log a week. Mark each task keep, delegate or delete. The audit tells you, as you type, the percentage of your week that does not need your judgment. Then it turns the delegatable work into a job description file for each role you can hand off. Most people think they have a discipline problem. The number usually says it is a delegation problem.

  • The percentage of your week that does not need you, in a plain sentence
  • A job description file for each role you can hand off, written from your own tasks
  • My first agent, the Monday Brief, as a copy and paste file. About twenty minutes to set up.
  • My week before and after, so you can see what changed

You logged 38 hours. 24 of them do not need your judgment. That is 63%.

12hKeep
24hDelegate
2hDelete

Morgan's first audit came out at 70%.

You get the audit now and the files by email, plus occasional email from Morgan. Leave any time.

Step 1

Log the week

Day, task, minutes, decision. Nothing else. Enter adds the next row. You can also paste a list, one task per line, into any task field. Saved on this device as you go.

KEEP, this needs my judgment. DELEGATE, a trained assistant could do this. DELETE, this should not exist.

Step 2

The split

Morgan's first audit came out at 70%. Forty two logged hours, twenty nine delegatable, thirteen that were the actual job.

Step 3

Group the delegatable work into roles

Tick the lines that belong together and group them. Then answer four questions per group.

Step 4

Your files

One file per role. Paste it into a new Claude project or a custom GPT as the instructions. Edit the CHANGE THIS lines first.

Step 5

The one to build first

This is my first agent, and it is the one to start with. It takes about twenty minutes to write, and it is the easiest win. It runs every Monday at 6:00am, reads my calendar, my inbox and last week's numbers, and puts one page in my inbox before I wake up.

## Your role
You are my Monday Brief. You run every Monday at 6:00am and you do not send anything without me.

## About me
CHANGE THIS: My name is [name] and I [what you do, one line].
CHANGE THIS: The people who matter most here are [who].
CHANGE THIS: I sound like [direct and warm / formal / brief and friendly].

## What you read
My calendar for the week ahead, my inbox from the last seven days, and last week's numbers.

## What you hand back
One page, in my inbox, before I wake up:
- Top 3 things that move revenue this week
- Every meeting with no clear outcome, flagged to cut
- What slipped last week and who is waiting on me
- One decision only I can make

## What you never do
- Send, publish, or delete anything without asking me first
- Make up a fact, a date, a number, or a commitment I have not made
- Draft anything about pricing, contracts, hiring, firing, or legal matters
Step 6

Before and after

My week, not a projection of yours.
