Design your whole brand without opening Figma.
Claude Design turns a plain-English request into real, editable design files that already look like your brand. This is the four prompt workflow behind the WorkSmart carousel templates, in the order that works.
Before you start
Fill in your brand brief
Two minutes here saves an hour of back and forth later. Answer these seven lines and keep them somewhere you can paste from.
Brand: [NAME] What it sells: [ONE LINE] Who it is for: [ONE LINE] Should feel like: [THREE ADJECTIVES] Should never look like: [WHAT TO AVOID] Colors: [HEX CODES, name each one] Fonts: [HEADLINE FONT] for headlines, [BODY FONT] for body
If you do not know your hex codes, open any file where your logo lives and use a color picker, or ask Claude to pull them from the logo you upload in the next step.
Prompt 1
Set up your brand once
Do this in a new project at claude.ai/design. Everything you make afterward inherits these colors, fonts, and logo, so you never describe your brand twice.
Here is my brand. Build a design system from it and use it on every file I make in this project. [PASTE YOUR BRAND BRIEF] My logo and fonts are attached. Pull the exact colors from the logo if they differ from what I listed, and tell me what you found. Save this as the default for this project.
Attach your logo file in the same message. Anything you upload stays in the project, so the next twenty things you make start from your real assets instead of a generic template.
Prompt 2
Ask for the thing in plain English
Skip the design vocabulary. Say what you want to exist, who sees it, and where it gets used. Then ask for options instead of one answer.
Make me a 7 slide Instagram carousel template in my brand, 1080 by 1350. Slide 1 is the hook. Slides 2 to 6 each teach one point and need room for a screenshot. Slide 7 is the call to action. Give me 3 different treatments so I can pick a direction: one photo-forward, one editorial and type-led, one colorblock. It has to stop a scroll on a phone, so keep the headline type big and the words per slide low.
Asking for three treatments is the whole trick. Picking a direction is faster and more honest than trying to describe one in advance, and you keep the two you did not choose for later.
"Make this a 5 slide LinkedIn carousel at 1200 by 1500 instead."
"Same brand, but a one page sales sheet for a $2,000 offer."
"Keep the layout, make it feel calmer and more premium."
"Here is a post I like the structure of. Rebuild it in my brand."
Prompt 3
Edit it like a document
This is where most people quit and go back to Canva. You do not need design skills to fix a design. Say what is wrong in normal words.
When the copy is wrong
"Change the slide 1 headline to [YOUR HEADLINE]. Keep the type size and spacing the same."
When it is hard to read on a phone
"The body text is too small for mobile. Increase it and rebalance the layout around it so nothing overflows."
When it is close but not right
"Give me this same slide three more ways, each with a different layout. Show all three so I can compare."
When you want it to travel
"Turn this into a reusable template with placeholder text, so I can drop new copy in every week."
Prompt 4
Export and ship
Pull the files out, drop in your photos and screenshots, and post. That last step is the one people skip, and an unfinished design helps nobody.
Export every slide as a separate image at 1080 by 1350, named in posting order. Then give me a short checklist of what I still need to supply: photos, screenshots, and any numbers or names left as placeholders.
Ask for the checklist. It catches the placeholder you forgot to fill in before it ends up live on your feed.
Copy, paste, done
